Start the change is my blog. I started it to make a difference in many animals lives.
I am Miah Rae, a 12 year old girl looking for a way to encourage people to adopt and support homeless pets. There are millions of pets out there who deserve a home! But one of the issues is finding a home for them. Most people want puppies and don't bother to go to shelters. They would rather go pick a puppy up from the mall. Which I do NOT support! Pet stores in malls often support puppy mills. Puppy mills are a business that takes female dogs and shoves them in a cage. Then they put male dogs in with them and breed them until they can no longer have babies.
When they can no longer have babies they are killed. I believe no dog deserves to live their entire life in a cage. All dogs deserve a home. On Start the Change I am going to talk about several different animal shelters that I will visit, to help and support animals. I will be posting pictures of dogs and cats (maybe rabbits and other animals) up for adoption. I will also talk about the best animal shelters in my area.
Sadly, many animals adopted from animal shelters do not always find their forever home. They might get taken back to the shelter for some reason. Finding a healthy home, a healthy and forever home, is what this blog is about.
